What the Tracker Shows
We built a tool that pulls real-time news coverage of Trump's Truth Social posts, analyzes his posting patterns, and visualizes everything in one place. At the top: a Rage-o-Meter — a 0–100 score that combines daily post volume and keyword intensity. Below: a live feed styled exactly like Truth Social cards, with topic badges and timestamps.
The data refreshes every 30 minutes. On high-activity days — court hearings, tariff announcements, response to poll drops — the tracker lights up red. The feed is filtered for Truth Social coverage only, stripping out unrelated results.
Six topic categories are tracked in real time: MAGA & Politics, Media & Press, Legal & Courts, Economy & Trade, Foreign Policy, Democrats. A doughnut chart shows the day's breakdown. On days when tariff news dominates, Economy & Trade spikes hard. On debate days, Democrats climbs.

Posting Patterns: The Data
Trump's Truth Social behavior follows a remarkably consistent pattern. Around 60% of his daily posts happen between 6 and 10 AM ET, typically after watching Fox & Friends. There is a near-total silence between 2 and 5 AM ET — roughly three hours of quiet that have become a reliable marker for political observers.
On a quiet day he posts 8–12 times. On event days — the morning tariffs were announced, or after a negative approval poll — the count exceeds 30. The correlation between right track/wrong track sentiment drops and posting spikes is not subtle: when the public mood sours, his posting volume reliably climbs.
Tuesdays are his most active day of the week. Saturday is the quietest — historically aligned with his golf schedule. The pattern holds across administrations and legal cycles.
Topic Breakdown: What He Posts About
The tracker categorizes each article using keyword matching across six topics. The dominant category is consistently MAGA & Politics, followed by Media & Press — a reflection of his ongoing conflict with mainstream news outlets. Legal posts spike around court dates. Economy & Trade coverage surges during tariff cycles.
The topic doughnut chart updates with every feed refresh, giving a real-time read on what is driving his Truth Social activity on any given day. Compare these patterns against economy polling: when consumer confidence dips, Economy & Trade posts spike — Trump often fires back at negative economic coverage within hours.
Foreign Policy entries cluster around major flashpoints. When the administration shifts stance on Ukraine, Iran, or China, those topics dominate the feed. Cross-reference with Trump's favorability numbers — his favorability ratings tend to move inverse to the intensity of his media-attack posts.
How We Built It — The Methodology
Truth Social's API is protected by Cloudflare and does not offer public read access. Our approach: we query Google News RSS for real-time coverage of Trump's Truth Social posts by major U.S. outlets. Every article that explicitly references a Truth Social post is included — this filters out opinion pieces and focuses on reported quotes and actual posts.
The Rage Score formula: post volume relative to daily average contributes up to 60 points; presence of charged keywords (witch hunt, fake news, rigged, hoax, enemy of the people, and 20 more) contributes up to 40 points. A score above 80 triggers MELTDOWN. Topic classification uses weighted keyword matching against six category dictionaries.
The feed cache refreshes every 30 minutes. BREAKING is flagged when coverage of a post appeared within the last 90 minutes. The tracker is particularly relevant heading into the 2026 midterms — Truth Social activity has historically preceded major news cycles by 2–6 hours.
